Wireless Speaker by CoolStream review

I received this Bluetooth speaker at no charge in exchange for my honest unbiased review.
When you unbox this item it is very impressive.

Aesthetically 5/5

The visual aspects and build are great.  It looks and feels like it is very well built. Buttons are not loose or made of a cheap or soft material that you can mess up. The buttons are a hard clear plastic material. In the back you have a USB port,  SD card slot, an auxiliary cable slot and a DC power input. Everything slides in well and tightly. The speaker is on the heavy side compared to other Bluetooth speakers.

Sound quality 5/5

I was impressed at how loud this speaker can get and it never distorted the sound. Sound was clear at low through high sound intensity. All the while you get clear and crisp sound.

Sound loudness 5/5

I have various speakers and this is probably the loudest one I have.

Connectivity 2/5

I was sorely disappointed with the bluetooth connectivity. It is supposedly rated for up to 10 meters/ 30 feet but in my experience using it for a week it is closer to 2 meters/ 6 feet outside and about 3 more feet inside a building to get a constant uninterrupted stream of music. Also you cannot have the item you are streaming from in your pocket because that causes disconnection issues. You cannot have things in the direct path between your phone and the speaker because it will cause the signal to disconnect often. Ultimately this is a very low range low tolerance Bluetooth system. I made a few calls with the system the sound coming out works good but the microphone seems to not be great at picking up voices and I have a loud voice. I was most excited about a unique function I had not seen or had in my other Bluetooth speakers, playing music from a USB or SD card. That excitement quickly turned into frustration and major disappointment. I had preloaded a large list of songs into one of my USBs because we were having a Father's Day outing at a park and I wanted to have some music outside. The first thing I tried was using the USB to play music. I was never able to get the speaker to read, acknowledge or use the USB. I tried many ways and times but got nothing. After messing with it more and more it seems that the USB may be too big, 32 GB; I actually got it to work with my super old 512 MB USB drive. I also used a 512 MB SD card and it played that as well. I do remember seeing a mention of 32 GB being the SD support maximum but no mention of USB restrictions and I am guessing it is less than 32 GB.

Innovative 3/5

This speaker shows a lot of potential but fell short of it's promises. USB and SD card music play directly from speaker awesome idea, difficult execution. The charging system is through a USB DC cord instead of an Android USB cable that all the others have,  yes this is different and sets you apart except if the customer damages or loses the cord they will not be able to easily replace the power source to their speaker. Also you all provide the USB DC power cord but no charging block which is not helpful for a customer who wants to use this often and quickly.

I think connectivity and sound are the most important aspect of this product. This is what really determines if it is a good product or not because although aesthetics and price are important nothing should matter more than if it works. Since I could not get this product to work well through Bluetooth or easily through it's "unique" functions I feel this speaker is 3.5/5 overall rating or known to Amazon shoppers as between "it's ok" and "I like it". I would tell you to buy this speaker over others only if you are going to keep it in a room like your bedroom or office as nothing more than a short distance Bluetooth speaker or as a media card speaker.
