AYL 3-in-1 LED Vehicle Emergency Flashlight Review

I received this flashlight at no cost to me in exchange for my honest unbiased review.

I already owned used and have tested various flashlights for years and it seems that these last few years they have gotten better and stronger. First off it definitely works and is completely functional. I found no defects with the flashlight I received and have not had it deteriorate since I started using it.

Based on what it is and what it is supposed to do I think it delivers on it's promises. It is definitely multifunctional and has a strong light.  It has 3 different light modes: the first lights just the front/top light,  the second is the light bar on the side,  and lastly it has a pulsating red light for emergencies. The base is in fact magnetic and it did stick to my car easily. The magnet allows you to also place the light bar in strategic places while you work or look for an item if you can find a metal surface for it to adhere to. It also helps you pick up and hold small metal items like screws and keys. It has a nice weight and it seems to be built solid enough to resist most mishaps.

I really feel like the functional design behind the selection between lighting modes really missed the mark. The way it currently works is that you click once mode 1 lights up (front), click another time mode 2 lights up (the light bar), click a third time and mode 3 lights up (emergency mode)  and then on the fourth click it finally turns off. What I mean is that a few of my favorite flashlights work by clicking is on/off and half clicks is how you toggle between modes. The advantage about this other way is one click no matter what mode I am on will turn off the light,  which I prefer by far.

I found that I can use this flashlight as a desk lamp which I think is pretty cool.

Considering everything about this light I can solidly rate this flashlight at a 4.6/5.
