I received this set of chilling stones at no cost to me in exchange for my honest opinion and review.
These are chilling stones not ice cubes. I say this so you can see that they have different functions. Ice will melt to turn your drink cold from top to bottom. Chilling stones will release coldness to the bottom to the top of your drinks to make them cold. (You may want to put both chilling stones and ice to get a drink super cold.
I got the opportunity to try this #whiskeycombo set of 4 soapstones and 4 stainless steel chilling stones. My favorite are the Stainless Steel stones I really like the look and that they are so lightweight. I was super happy with how they work. These are meant for are work best with small glass volumes of liquid not a large glass (although if you put more in that the usual 2-3 it will still work). They are ideal for a lazy day or for when you are having a talk with someone during a meal. I always left them moist after cleaning even though it's recommended you dry them before you place back in fridge. All that really does is leave a small ice layer over it which may make it a little slippery to grab. The only difficulty is sometimes grabbing them with the tonsils but you just adjust a little bit and then presto you got it. I even wanted to see if the stones would hurt if you drink to the bottom of the glass, so I drank all my water closed my lips as the stones said towards my face expecting the worst but barely even felt them hit. So that is a major relief of not chipping a tooth.
I am a non-alcoholic drinker, so I used them with juices, water, teas and other drinks. They are definitely great for keeping your drinks cool without diluting them. I would rate them 5/5 unless something magically turns out to be better.
